- Water pollution
- Endangered human health
- Loss of biodiversity
- Global warming
- Soil degradation

As well as specific causes for these problems :

- Monoculture
- Poor or excessive use of pesticides
- Poor or excessive use of fertilizers
- Excessive greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Erosion and leaching
- Other drivers of soil degradation
